Ian Watt: Hi good afternoon  it’s Ian Watt in Downtown Vancouver and Happy New Year to you. Now that were back at work. I’m gonna do the year in review for 2011 I’m gonna hit five different areas of Downtown Vancouver that includes Yaletown, Gastown, the West End, Coal Harbour and Downtown. Now on top of that I’m gonna do one extra video blog because everybody in 2011 was talking about Olympic Village. So I’m gonna do a year in review for the Olympic Village as well even though it’s not in Downtown Vancouver. But let’s start off today with Downtown Vancouver. The Downtown area had 1,055 sales. The lowest sale was $200,000 dollar and that was a 600 oh sorry a 461 square foot, junior one bedroom without parking at 1330 Burrard street now that one there so for $200,000 dollars and took a 169 days. Now the most expensive one sold at 833 Homer street which is at the corner of Homer and Robson street and that was a penthouse, that was 2,900 square feet and that sold for $3.17 million dollars a big price to pay but the average price per square foot in the Downtown area of Downtown Vancouver ended up being $643 dollars per square foot for 2011. My name is Ian Watt and if you have any questions you can always email me at ianwatt@ianwatt.ca. Thank you very much and have a great day!
