Tom Everitt : Good Afternoon everybody.
This is Ian Watt, I mean Tom Everitt of ThinkTom.com. I'm doing a
little guest video blogging for Mr. Watt this week. And I thought to do
a little bit , something a little bit different. I would come to
beautiful Deep Cove in North Vancouver British Columbia to show you
folks what its like. I was talking to some friends in Terrano last week
and of course to get to the Moscoe, to get to the cottage country it
took them about 3 and a half hours. And ladies and gentlemen, I got
from Downtown Vancouver Mr. Watt specialty area of course, I got from
Downtown to Deep Cove 19 and a half minutes exactly. Why am I telling
you this? Because one of the arguments we have is about how Vancouver
have less land than any other area in Canada when it comes to large
cities. And some people believe this and some people don't. Folks, we
are surrounded by water and mountains. We only have so many areas
Downtown we can develop. There are only so many 25 foot lots and 33
foot lots and 50 foot lots which are the most common. We only have so
much land. So comparing us to Terrano comparing us to some cities in
the United States and states in the United States that are having
problems with their collapsing real estate values, its really really
tough to compare us to those areas. Folks, real estate its gonna go up
and gonna go down. Interest rates are gonna go up and go down. But one
thing I can guarantee you is that Vancouver will remain one of the most
expensive cities in North America. And worth every single cent. For any
comments, you can always email Mr. Watt at ianwatt@ianwatt.ca . My name is Tom Everitt of ThinkTom.com and have yourself a great day.
