Heres a $1000, don't waste my time

Ian Watt video blogs about the fact that with a market that is not rising, its quite a waste of time and money to take over priced listings. If want to voice your opinion or if you don't care for Ian's comments please email your feedback to ianwatt@ianwatt.ca and visit http://www.ianwatt.ca/RealEstateVideos for all the Ian Watt Real Estate Video Blogs.

Ian Watt: Hi good afternoon it's Ian Watt just heading back Downtown Vancouver and I was speaking with some people regarding their listing and they want me to take their listing. And I told them  the price I believe that will sell for. It's not even listed with two other realtors and they couldn't sell at the price that they are asking. So I showed them my marketing plan i show them what can I do and they again want to list at their price. Well, it's not gonna sell at that price and I told them flat out this is the price that are gonna sell. Nobody's interested in making record prices on generics properties and this maybe a bit of generic property. There's nothing special about it. And they weren't so happy about it. What I explained to them with all my cost that go into it whether it sells or not I might as well cut a check for a thousand dollars right now and say here's the cheque it's not gonna sell this is what it's gonna cost me so you might as well take my money right now and at least I don't have to drive around. So when your listing listen to your realtor, listen to the data, look at all the past tense and analyze that and if you cannot read that data. If you cannot see that the prices are at this level and your hoping for this level. Chances are professional realtors  not going to take the listings because there's no point this days if your going to take a listings and you know it's never going to be sell yet you have to pop a thousand dollars or more into the listing just for marketing, time and effort? I don't know. You listen to your realtor. My name is Ian Watt. You can always email me at  ianwatt@ianwatt.caThank you very much and have a great day!
